It’s all hand-painted! Each environment, prop, animation and character is created by a smart head and a loose hand. For us the perfect way to give the Treepoids world a more organic look and some extra fun by extending the reality.
With classic frame by frame animations we put a mixture of natural and fun movement to our characters and environment.
To give the player a fascinating and more “real” feeling of atmosphere and perspective we push our world with additional 2DFX/VFX, 2,5D mechanics, parallax effects and shader.
The Treepoids project has a focus on consoles, like Switch, Playstation and Xbox, but will be available for Mac and PC in the future too.
To get a better feel for our new best friends, we created 3D prints of them (ok, except for the very first version, which we made out of modeling clay). Always feels good to shake “hands” with our project in real life. And they still cut a good figure as toys, too.

In 2019-2020 we were funded by the federal ministry "BMWK". This made it possible for us to establish our studio and work on the project with a larger team.
2021 we participated at the "Games Lift Incubator" from the Gamecity Hamburg where we got many support by their experts. Thank for lifting us up!
Our Treepoids were nominated for "Best Showcase" at the Hamburg Games Conference.
In 2019 we won the "indie pitch battle"! Wolfgang Walk and Michal Hengst were in the jury. This was the start for our adventure with the Treepoids!
